A Natural and Environmentally Sustainable Method for Cannabis Cultivation

Rogue Roots is a Denver-based commercial aquaponics consulting company in the business of providing natural and environmentally sustainable methods of cannabis cultivation.
It has been studied and proven that commercial aquaponics is a completely viable, sustainable, and effective way to produce high quality organic produce on a large scale while minimizing inputs, both in monetary and physical resources (i.e. water).
The difficulty comes in developing a method to deliver the nutrients to cannabis in a medium that is not only friendly to the aquaponics ecosystem but also creates an environment in which the cannabis can thrive while being realistically scalable. While there are some individuals that have used aquaponics to grow cannabis, this is largely done on a small scale. The traditional raft method of commercial aquaponics is not effective for cannabis and the ebb and flow system of individuals currently growing cannabis is not practical to scale. The delivery method that we have developed is not only scalable but uses less resources than both previously mentioned systems. The novelty in our system is not limited to just the scalability and reduced resources, it is also in the increased efficiency of the plants literal ability to uptake the nutrients.
